“It’s good for kids because for every three games you bowl, the kids are walking a mile,” Smyrna Bowling Center Manager Albert Stiriz said. “They are getting exercise and if they don’t know how to bowl, getting started is how they learn.”

The Felker family was among the many families bowling Wednesday, Jan. 17. They, like many others, have been stuck in the house and wanted to have some fun.

“This is it right now, the only real indoor activity,” Chris Felker said. “Video games get old for the kids and you can only binge Netflix so much.”

Since schools are closed due to the winter weather, there are ways to keep your kids learning. Look at finding open museums, such as the Frist Art Museum.
