This reunion is one for the television history books.

Starting June 1, Telma Hopkins will reunite with the actor who played her son over three decades ago on the 1990s sitcom “Family Matters.”

The television industry veteran will share scenes with Bryton James on the CBS soap opera “The Young & The Restless.”

James, now a two-time Emmy Award-winning daytime TV luminary, currently plays billionaire businessman Devon Hamilton on the serial.

According to a network spokesperson, Hopkins will portray private detective Denise Tolliver, who reveals shocking details about the past of Devon’s love interest Amanda Sinclair.

This reunion marks their first time working together since “Family Matters” went off the air in 1998.

“It is kind of like coming home,” Hopkins told Entertainment Weekly. “It is full circle. I don’t feel I have ever lost touch with him but certainly it is nice to look across a room and see that smiling face that I am so used to. It feels like home, like family, like Family Matters.”

“Acting felt effortless and comfortable when we stepped on the stage together,” James added. “When the scene started we had to act like we didn’t know each other, but it has reminded me and made me feel really grateful about how long I have been able to do this. Because Telma is one of the reasons that I have enjoyed it for 30 years. To step on my first stage with her and have Telma be the one to make me feel so comfortable and at home back then, it is very special.”

Hopkins, an underrated Black entertainment treasure, has a career that dates back to the iconic music group, Tony Orlando and Dawn, which aired on CBS from 1974-1976

Among her many credits are series regular roles on “Bosom Buddies,” “Gimme a Break,” “The Hughleys” and “Half and Half.”

The 72-year-old Louisville, Kentucky, native most recently appeared on the Netflix series “Dead to Me” and “Family Reunion.”

Hopkins will appear in multiple episodes of “The Young and the Restless,” the rep confirmed.
