Family seeks help to find missing Rockford man

A Rockford family is asking for the public's help in finding their missing 22-year-old son, Carter McGowan, who has Asperger's syndrome.

Carter's mother, Christy Harms McGowan, posted the following on Facebook:

"Today, my son Carter McGowan age 22 is missing! He has Asperger's and had a mental health break this morning and walked quickly out of the UW Clinic on Marchesano, near South Main Street and Marchesano Drive near Fire Station No. 3."

He was last seen wearing a grey jacket, blue-grey pants and blue tennis shoes.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the family at 815-543-6654.
