Family of wrong-way driver apologizes after crash killed Elk Grove officer

Days after a suspected DUI driver hit and killed Elk Grove police officer , Ty Lenehan, on the highway the suspects family is speaking out. Jermain Walton, 31, entered Highway 99 in the wrong direction early Friday morning while driving intoxicated, according to police. Officer Lenehan had been riding a motorcycle on the way to work when he was hit by Walton, Police Chief Timothy Albright said on Friday. Walton is facing several felony charges including DUI and murder.
