The dominoes are beginning to fall.

And Florida A&M football offensive line has gotten bigger ― perhaps, better.

The Rattlers earned their first commitment since the NCAA Transfer Portal reopened for its spring period last Saturday.

Offensive lineman Kardell Thomas committed to FAMU on Tuesday after having his official visit last Saturday during the Orange and Green Spring Game.

Thomas, 6-foot-3, 350 pounds, comes from LSU and is a native of Baton Rouge. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

Thomas was a highly sought after five-star prospect out of Southern Lab High School. He was a member of the ESPN 300 ranked at No. 26 overall and elected to sign with LSU's 2019 recruiting class.

He played 11 career games with the Tigers, which included two starts. Both of Thomas' starting nods came at the right guard.

He's thrived in the classroom too, making the SEC's 2021 Academic Honor Roll.

Thomas is the eleventh direct FBS transfer to FAMU in the 2023 class. He joins Ashton Grable and Janik Ogunlade as newcomers on the Rattlers offensive line.

Thomas will likely report to the Rattlers fall training camp ahead of the regular season.
