Fans attending Super Bowl 56 will receive a free KN95 mask

Super Bowl 56 attendees will receive a souvenir – a KN95 mask.

On Tuesday, Los Angeles County Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer announced that every attendee will be required to wear a mask at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on Feb. 13, adding that "safety team members" will be on hand to remind everyone to mask up, unless eating or drinking.

"Masks are required at all times to enter all of the events, to be in common areas, to purchase at concession stands and at indoor shops," Ferrer said during a Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday. "The NFL will also be urging all fans to celebrate safely wherever they’ll be gathering."

The Los Angeles County of Public Health also partnered with the NFL to offer free take-home test kits to fans attending the Super Bowl Experience, the NFL's "interactive football theme park" at the LA Convention Center on Feb. 5-6 and Feb. 10-12. The kits will include "messaging to test before gathering for the big game."

An estimated 60,000 take-home kits are expected to be distributed during the Super Bowl Experience, Ferrer said.

According to Ferrer, the league will offer free COVID-19 rapid tests and vaccinations at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood and the LA Convention Center to ensure all attendees "know their status before they enter events."

Fans who receive any dose of the vaccine at the clinic will receive a free ticket to Super Bowl Experience. Tickets are redeemable on the day the vaccine is given or for a future date that the interactive football theme park is operational. Fans ages 5 and up will be eligible to receive a vaccination.
