  • Ryan Seacrest was absent from Live With Kelly and Ryan this past Monday and Tuesday.

  • On Wednesday, the American Idol host returned to the ABC daytime show after testing negative for the coronavirus.

  • After seeing Ryan back on the show, his fans showered him with compliments on Instagram over his recently dyed beard.

Ryan Seacrest flaunted a new (and particularly dapper) look on Live With Kelly and Ryan recently.

Following the ABC cohost’s return on Wednesday after taking Monday and Tuesday off, Kelly Ripa shared her true feelings about Ryan's new beard color, which he changed a few weeks back.

“Do you notice anything different?” Ryan asked his costar during Wednesday's show.

“You mean your beard?” Kelly said. “I noticed it last week ... You’ve decided to color your beard. I don’t mind a dark beard. I don’t mind it at all. But it takes on a sort of a, like, well-groomed pirate look.”

After making Ryan laugh, Kelly assured him that she “didn’t mind it.” Alas, it wasn’t exactly the comment Ryan was looking for. He retorted back, “'I don’t mind' is not necessary the compliment one goes for.”

Luckily, his fans had his back. Many flooded a Live Instagram post with compliments about his new look. Although he’s sported facial hair before, some fans thought the darker shade gave his appearance an extra oomph.

“Ryan, I ❤️ the new look!!!” one person wrote. “You hit it out of the park with your new look ❤️,” another added. “Love the beard Ryan! Look even more handsome,” a different fan said. “Ryan 🔥🔥🔥,” a follower commented.

Others were just happy to see Ryan in tip-top shape. Many were worried about Ryan after he didn't appear on Live at the beginning of the week. Despite the show initially only revealing that Ryan had taken the day off, on Tuesday Kelly shared that her costar was actually awaiting results after taking a coronavirus test (a source told People Ryan wanted to take precaution after experiencing a "minimal cough.") Thankfully, the 45-year-old tested negative and got the all-clear to return to the daytime show’s studio in New York City.

“Thank God you are feeling better!! 💙🙏💙,” one fan wrote. “I'm glad Ryan is feeling better!” someone else added. “Just glad to have you both together ❤️🤗,” another said.

No matter what color Ryan's beard is, we are just happy the two are back on Live once again.
