Fans Lambast Kid Rock Over Concert Cancellation in North Dakota

Fans of Kid Rock lambasted the American singer-songwriter for cancelling a concert in Minot, North Dakota, on July 22, due to weather-related safety concerns.

The musician, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, had been booked to perform at the North Dakota State Fair.

“SO P***ED OFF we could not play for a sold out crowd tonight in Minot, ND (because of high winds),” Ritchie wrote on Facebook. “I know it sucks but none of us can control Mother Nature. Please be safe leaving and take care of each other.”

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a severe thunderstorm warning for areas near Minot.

Footage from the concert venue in Minot shows a large crowd gathered in front of the stage where Ritchie was set to perform.

The North Dakota State Fair said it would issue “full refunds to all ticket purchasers.” Credit: @therealbandyp via Storyful
