Fans can meet former Iowa football legend Dallas Clark in Indianapolis before Big Ten Championship game

Fans will have a chance to meet former Hawkeyes tight end and Super Bowl champion Dallas Clark in Indianapolis before Saturday’s big game between Iowa and Michigan.

Clark will be at the Big Ten Fan Fest on Saturday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Indiana Convention Center. The former Indianapolis Colts star will take part in the Discover Big Ten Experience with fans.

Clark, an Iowa native, walked on to the Iowa football team in 1998 as a linebacker. Three seasons later, Clark was moved to tight end and became one of the Hawkeyes’ most valuable weapons on offense. He recorded 81 catches for 1,281 yards and eight touchdowns in two years with the Hawkeyes.

During the 2002 season, Clark won the John Mackey Award, which is given to the top tight end in the country. He was also named a consensus All-American following that season, becoming one of just nine Iowa players to receive that honor.

Clark was drafted in the 2003 NFL Draft by the Colts. He played for Indianapolis for nine seasons and helped the franchise win Super Bowl XLI.

Clark also spent time in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Baltimore Ravens before retiring from the league in 2014.
