“It’s been really fun. We came here on Wednesday, hoping that the Jayhawks would make it all the way, but no matter what, the Big 12 Championship is the place to be,” said KU fan Jayson Edwards. “So we love coming to Kansas City.”

Over the last 10 days, the Big 12 Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships have drawn crowds to downtown Kansas City’s Power and Light District.

“It’s been fun, a lot of people,” said KU fan Ryan Carroll. “It would have been more fun if KU had won and made it to today, but we’ve still had a good time, and it’s a great city to host the tournament.”

Saturday afternoon, Grand Boulevard outside T-Mobile Center was packed with basketball fans participating in pregame activities at the final fan fest ahead of the Men’s Championship game.
