Fans praise Nick Jonas' 'dad bod,' shut down body-shaming: 'We love Thick Nick'

Some fans are suckers for Nick Jonas' "dad bod."

Pictures of the shirtless singer wearing white swim trunks on a yacht in Miami hit the internet over the weekend and fans couldn't help but notice his fuller figure.

While some fans criticized Jonas' summer body, the majority downright thirsted over the bulkier Jonas, who was vacationing with wife Priyanka Chopra for her 37th birthday.

"Nick Jonas has a dad bod now and I think I love him even more," @Julmay14 tweeted, while @Shoelettuce wrote: "Currently completely and hopelessly obsessing over Nick Jonas' love handles."

@BigJerryBieber2 added: "Nick Jonas is now so thick ... I'm here for it."

Others weren't so nice.

"Look at Nick Jonas getting fat, all that ghee in the curry’s from his in laws," @ICimmi tweeted.

Some fans, however, pointed out that Jonas is only human and called for others to stop commenting on his weight entirely.

"I really wish the world would stop body shaming... like who cares if nick jonas has a 'dad bod' he is living his best life," @Sarah_Green24 tweeted, while @vyoma1998 added: "people go through seasons where their body fluctuates. It's NATURAL & none of your DAMN BUSINESS. there's also this thing called getting OLDER."

User @hostilefeelingz wrote, "I can’t believe people are really body shaming Nick Jonas. He has diabetes," referring to the singer's type 1 diabetes diagnosis in 2005.

Jonas is the latest celebrity to receive the 'dad bod' label this summer. Earlier this month, Jason Momoa was criticized after Us Weekly posted a photograph of him shirtless on vacation in Italy. Like Jonas, many of Momoa's fans came to his defense.
