Halloween is Tuesday, but for some diehards, the real fun is Nov. 4 and 5 when Akron Comicon rolls around.

The gathering of lovers of all things comics, sci-fi and pop culture will be held at Emidio's Expo Center, 48 E. Bath Road in Cuyahoga Falls.

The gathering features a number of vendors, guest appearances, talks and even a costume contest.

Organizer Jason Miller, who owns Rubber City Comics, said the show will feature a wide variety of pop culture items on display and also for sale.

Particularly popular this year are Pokemon cards along with comics and graphic novels.

"Akron Comicon has been bringing memories and nostalgia to the folks of Northeast Ohio for over 11 years, and we hope to continue with everyone's help and support," Miller said.
