Queer love in pop music made by men? We could not believe it!
Fans are losing their minds speculating that Charlie Puth and Jungkook play fictional ex-boyfriends in the music video for their new collaboration “Left and Right.” This is Jungkook’s first-ever music video as a standalone artist even though BTS hasn’t officially ended as of yet.
The chorus of the song goes, “Memories follow me left and right / I can feel you over here, I can feel you over hеre / You take up evеry corner of my mind.” Well, in the video, it is Jungkook – and Jungkook only – that Puth keeps seeing “left and right” in all sorts of unexpected places.

Over the years, Jungkook has openly supported LGBTQ+ rights in a very consistent manner. So much so that the K-pop superstar has even gotten into trouble in certain countries that still criminalize being queer.
While Jungkook has never defined or labeled his own sexuality, many LGBTQ+ people consider him to be, at the very least, an important ally to queer people in Korean pop music.
As expected, Twitter has been set ablaze with speculations that Puth and Jungkook are playing queer lovers in the music video for “Left and Right.”
