  • Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced they're expecting their second child on Feb. 14, and there's growing speculation about what name they will choose.

  • In the couple's interview with Oprah, they shared the sex and general due date.

  • Meghan's second pregnancy has been easier than her first, according to a source.

Brits and Americans alike have been keeping a close eye on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry as her due date for the couple's second baby approaches.

The prince recently flew to the United Kingdom for the funeral of his grandfather, Prince Philip, but Meghan stayed behind in California. Her doctors did not give the Suits alum medical clearance to fly, a representative for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex told Insider.

But it’s not just travel and due dates that’s had people super interested in the famous couple. Meghan and Harry recently got the attention of the world with their Oprah tell-all interview. In it, Meghan opened up about her tumultuous months adjusting to life under the microscope of the British tabloids. And, just as fans hoped, she and Harry also spoke about the future and royal baby #2. The couple confirmed they're expecting a baby girl and a general due date.

Of course, the one question on everyone's mind is when exactly will Archie's little sister make her grand entrance into the world? (More on that in a sec.)

Here's what Harry and Meghan have shared about royal baby #2 so far:

Okay, so... when exactly is royal baby #2 due?

Fans were (understandably) excited when Meghan and Harry announced that they’re expecting their second child on Valentine’s Day 2021.

Meghan and Harry have kept quiet about a due date for their rainbow baby until now. Leave it to Oprah to get the intel. Meghan didn't share specifics, but she revealed her due date is in the summer.

It matches up with the high tea a source recently spilled to Us Weekly. "Harry and Meghan have always wanted a couple of kids—a little brother or sister for Archie, and they’re excitedly planning for the arrival of their bundle of joy," the source said. "It’s a dream come true...Meghan fell pregnant again toward the end of last year. The baby is due at the end of spring."

Doctors generally don’t recommend flying after 36 weeks—some airlines don’t allow it, either—so that could mean that Meghan is due really soon, possibly before the end of April. That said, it's unclear how much the COVID-19 pandemic factored into the physician's travel guidance for Meghan. It's likely that concerns about potential exposure to the virus were considered when making the decision.

Considering Archie was born on May 6, 2019, it seems like the royal siblings may have birthdays just a month or two apart. Awww!

And, despite having the funds to employ help in taking care of the kids, the Sussexes "aren’t planning to hire a team of nannies," the source added, since Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, also lives in California and is "always willing" to take care of the little ones. "Doria loves being a grandma and looking after Archie," the source said.

What are Meghan and Harry having?

Meghan and Harry shared the sex of royal baby #2 with Oprah and millions watching, too. As soon as Harry join the interview, he revealed a baby girl is on the way.

Fans also suspected royal baby #2 would be a girl after another recent interview. The reason: Meghan was spotted wearing a pink sapphire ring on her middle finger during an appearance alongside Harry during Spotify’s Stream On event.

The 6-carat ethically sourced ring is from Ecksand and, after the company posted about it on Instagram, fans hopped into the comments with their theories about the baby's sex. "Now we know, it's a girl 😍🌈💖," one person wrote. "Could this be a clue about baby Sussex????!🤔" another said.

Meghan couldn't contain her excitement. "To have a boy then a girl — what more can you ask for?" she told Oprah in the interview. Harry added, "Grateful, having any child, any one or a two would have been amazing, but to have a boy and then a girl ... now we've got our family, and we've got four of us." And they're not planning on any more children, "Two is it."

What will Meghan and Harry name their daughter?

You'll have to wait until Meghan gives birth to know for sure, but some people think that the dress the duchess wore during Global Citizen’s "VAX Live: The Concert to Reunite the World" is a hint. The gorgeous red Carolina Herrera shirtdress was covered in pink poppies, leading some fans to think that Meghan and Harry’s daughter will be named…Poppy.

It’s not just a cool name—plenty have pointed out on social media that the poppy flower is a symbol of remembrance and hope, and is often worn in the U.K. to show support for the armed forces. (Harry, as you might remember, once served in the armed forces.) It’s also the state flower of California, where the couple moved in March 2020.

Or, ya know, she just liked the dress.

On top of that, there are also bookies in the U.K. working hard to predict the next mini monarch's moniker RN. The gambling site Ladbrokes has seen an uptick in the popularity of Philippa (with betting odds now at 3/1 or a 25% probability) as a name for Meghan and Harry's daughter following Prince Philip's passing. "The support for baby Philippa is showing no signs of slowing down, and we've been forced to trim the odds again that it's the name for Harry and Meghan's daughter," Jessica O'Reilly of Ladbrokes told People.

A tribute to the late Prince Philip isn't the only name getting attention, though. Diana and Elizabeth are two other popular choices. A nod to Princess Diana has odds of 5/1, while the Queen's name is 10/1. Allegra, Alexandria, Grace, Emma, Rose, Alice and Victoria are also among the top ten with odds of 16/1.

It's important to note, Meghan and Harry chose the name Archie for their son. It wasn't on the radar of betting companies at the time, per Insider, so it's totally possible the couple surprises everyone again.

And, she will become a princess by default when Prince Charles becomes king, Page Six reported. Then, all grandchildren are entitled to prince/princess titles. Archie will also become a prince.

Is Meghan having a baby shower for baby #2?

You might remember how Meghan had a star-studded baby shower in New York City—thrown by Serena Williams, BTW—when she was pregnant with Archie, so it’s only natural to wonder if she’s going to recreate the experience for her second bundle of joy. Well, apparently, Meghan has decided not to have a shower this time around.

A source tells Us Weekly that Meghan "doesn’t feel a big baby shower with gifts is appropriate right now," adding that "there is too much strife in the world. She and Harry have been so involved with humanitarian issues, they both feel their time and resources can be used for a better purpose." Her friends get it, the source notes. Meghan "has the support of her friends and, most importantly [Harry]."

How does Meghan’s second pregnancy compare to her first?

Like her first pregnancy, Meghan is doing yoga on the regular. A source told Us Weekly that the expectant mama "does yoga every day" and sometimes twice a day. "It’s what keeps her healthy both physically and mentally during the pregnancy," the source said.

Meghan is also feeling good. "This pregnancy has been a little easier than the last in terms of less morning sickness," the source said. "Meghan is feeling much better this time around."

Does she have any pregnancy cravings?

Yup, but the actress is focused on eating as healthy as possible for herself and the baby. "Meghan had been craving pasta, but she’s been eating super clean and trying her best to avoid gluten," the Us Weekly source said. She’s also been filling up on organic produce, with the source saying that she’s "a big fruit eater and eats all organic only."
