Taylor Swift has been spending time in New York City amid Eras Tour stops, and groups of people have been lingering outside of her apartment (even chasing her car/following her home), creating a hectic situation that caused “leave her alone” to start trending on Twitter.

While Taylor hasn’t said anything about the invasion of her privacy, some Swifties think her outfit on Monday—a white button-up top, jean shorts, and sandals—was a direct reference to a scene in Miss Americana where she talks about the mob of people outside her house while wearing pretty much the same outfit.

Taylor has opened up about her lack of privacy before. In fact, back in 2020, she spoke to Paul McCartney for Rolling Stone about what it’s like to have so little privacy—specifically when it came to her then-relationship with Joe Alwyn.

I, oftentimes, in my anxieties, can control how I am as a person and how normal I act and rationalize things, but I cannot control if there are 20 photographers outside in the bushes and what they do and if they follow our car and if they interrupt our lives. I can’t control if there’s going to be a fake weird headline about us in the news tomorrow.”
