Farmers Market open in Catoosa

Jun. 16—Brenda Brewer has been growing a variety of flowers on a fourth of an acre for the past three years.

Snap dragons, larkspur, sunflowers, zinnias, bells or Ireland cosmos and salvia's are just a few of the flowers he grows.

Brewer sells her flowers from 5-8 p.m. every Wednesday at the Rogers County Farmers Market on at the Blue Whale of Catoosa, 2600 U.S. Rte 66.

A new feature at the market this year is the Community Table.

Market Director Reighly Hendrix said the Community Table is a place where vendors products can be sold if the vendor will be unable to make it to the market.Hendrix said this is beneficial to the vendor because their products can be sold and beneficial to the customers because the products will still be available.

"I think it's something really cool we can provide to our vendors and customers," she said.

Hendrix said they have 20 vendors approved for the Wednesday market and 48 vendors approved for the Saturday market.

The next Rogers County Farmers Market will be from 7-11 a.m. on Satruday at the Rogers County Courthouse, 200 S. Lynn Riggs Blvd.
