(FOX40.COM) — Sacramento is known as America’s Farm to Fork capital, which is a justified title when one considers all of the farmers’ markets in and near the city.
With the opening of a new farmers’ market in West Sacramento, the Farm to Fork label feels even more appropriate.

On Jan. 14, a farmers’ market opened in a West Sacramento city parking lot and is open year-round on Sundays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. (subject to change due to weather).
According to the market’s Instagram page, the farmers’ market is located at 1271 West Capitol Avenue. Currently, spots for vendors are limited, but a recent Instagram post revealed that the market is looking for “reliable fruit and vegetable vendors.”
Current vendors include:
Bee’s Bakery — Cakes, pies, brownies, and hot chai
Offbeat Coffee — Drip coffee, lattes, and wholesale bagged coffee
Creature Sauce Co. — A variety of sweet and savory hot sauces
Tacos 916 — Street tacos with meat and veggie options
“Join us at the West Sacramento Farmer’s Market! Support your community. Bring friends and family for a vibrant market experience!” the West Sacramento Farmers Market said on social media.
