Intrepid Fashion Editor Investigates Whether Nasty Gal Actually Holds Up IRL

From Cosmopolitan

Let's face it. We've all been guilty of being sucked into buying stuff from at least one or, like, maybe seven Instagram shopping ads that are supposedly loved by your trusted ~influencers~ . Welcome to your modern-day mall, everyone, look what we've come to. And, I think we can all collectively agree that one of those ads that frequent our feeds are ones from the super edgy, fashion-forward, yet scarily affordable store called Nasty Gal. Sooo, we wanted to find out if Nasty Gal was really giving budget-friendly quality products, so we threw our fashion editor Rachel into the wild to investigate.

In this week's episode of Instagram vs. Reality, Rachel chose four things from Nasty Gal that included: a multi-printed dress, white buckled booties, a Teddy coat, and a ONE DOLLAR(?!!?!) pearl clip. As you can see, all very ~in~ styles of apparel and accessories right now. They all seemed to look super cute and stylish on the model they promoted on! But...DON'T THEY ALL. We can never trust nobody! Nonetheless, she went ahead and confirmed her $218 purchase (pretty decent, @ Nasty Gal) then awaited for the arrival of her package!

Once the day of truth arrived, er, let's just say it already started off with a bad start with a partly ripped outer encasing. Yeah, uh, yikes. But, how far downhill can we really go from there, right?! Well, watch the video to find out all the answers to your sketchy questions about inexpensive fast fashun!! And see which items were good enough for Rachel to actually add to her wardrobe. Hint: One of them may be something less than five bucks.
