Special counsel Robert Mueller's report on his investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election is out in the world, and people are furiously digging through trying to root out all the drama.

One unexpected find, which was noted by Kim Bhasin on Twitter, is that fashion celebrity and influencer Miroslava Duma appears in the report:

As the report says, in December 2015, Duma passed along invitations from the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation to Ivanka Trump and then-presidential candidate Donald Trump to attend the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The two declined the invitation due to Trump's "very grueling and full travel schedule," according to the report.

Duma and Ivanka have been connected in the past-a photo of the two of them was passed around alongside a fake news smear, and Duma featured Ivanka on her former site The Tot-so it somewhat makes sense that they would be connected again here. (Business of Fashion reports that Duma's father is also former Russian senator Vasily Duma, and her husband is Aleksey Mikheev, who works in the Russian Ministry of Trade and Industry.)

But Duma is also used to being in the middle of controversy. In January 2018, she was called out by those in the fashion industry when couture fashion designer Ulyana Sergeenko sent Duma a bouquet of flowers with a note that included a racial slur; Duma then shared the note on her Instagram Stories, causing the backlash.

After that incident, it was discovered that in 2012, she was videotaped talking about blogger Bryanboy's style and transgender model Andreja Pejić modeling swimwear; Duma essentially denounced them both and said they should be censored.

After the video came to light, Bryanboy told ELLE.com, "Seeing that video was really shocking. I have incredible respect for Mira. She’s someone I look up to. What’s she’s done in this industry is admirable. So to see her speaking in front of young people and spouting homophobic and transphobic propaganda? It’s disgusting. It’s wrong."
