The "Coachella look" — long carefree dresses with florals and perhaps a little fringe, big floppy hats and motorcycle boots — is a free-spirited mix of L.A.'s '60s hippy-look, '90s Seattle grunge with a touch of the '80s West Coast punk. And in the last few years, fashion has been a major force at the fest, with attendees showing up dressed to the nines in their haute bohemian get-ups. Then, of course, there's the question of what the celebs will wear (or sometimes, get paid to wear) to the three-day party. From cut-off shorts and bra tops to caftans and beads, (almost) anything goes at Coachella.

Now, Coachella's about to get even more serious about fashion. Pandora Jewelry has whipped together a major three-day event to be held at the Parker Palm Springs Hotel called "The Pandora Jewelry Experience." Meanwhile, the following lines will present invite-only runway shows: Siwy denim on Friday, April 10 at 5 p.m.; Plenty by Tracy Reese on Saturday, April 11 at 1 p.m.; Nanette Lepore on Saturday at 3 p.m.; and WHiT on Sunday, April 12 at 2 p.m.
Each designer will show a mash-up of current collections, relevant archival pieces and capsule Coachella collections, with all the limited-edition pieces available for retail. Each designer will also dabble in jewelry design with Pandora elements: Tracy Reese featuring stacking rings on leather cord; Lepore working with stacked rings; and WHiT with turquoise Citroen, deep-blue stones and leather cords.
"I'm paying a lot of attention to festival dressing right now," says Nanette Lepore. "I couldn't be more thrilled to present a colorful and playful show during the West Coast's premiere music festival. I had a blast pairing my bright spring looks with unexpected layering of rings and bracelets for Pandora. Festivals have become a way of life."
What's being called the "Experience" will take place on the Gene Autry Estate at the Parker Palm Springs — and like Coachella itself — it will have separate, distinct areas celebrating individual style. The Lawn area will feature Pandora products that invitees can create themselves as they enjoy cocktails (natch), interactive art demonstrations, a photo booth and luxury beauty product sampling. (Hey, who needs music?)
The VIP House will host fashion bloggers and "influencers" by appointment, where designers will set up a pop-up gallery and do meet-and-greets. The Runway section will be — you guessed it — where the shows will take place, with room for 250 guests. Says WHiT designer Whitney Pozgay: "My spring 2015 bright prints are perfect for Palm Springs' sunny weather — it's going to be a great weekend."
Ladies and gents: get ready to start shopping.
