Fast-growing Elk Grove shopping center plans to add more new businesses in 2024. What are they?

Elk Grove’s The Ridge continues to fill out spaces as the shopping center aims to keep bringing businesses to the high-traffic area.

The Ridge, developed by Pappas Investments, plans to fill its empty spaces with three new operations serving the Elk Grove community.

Pappas Investments’ senior vice president and leasing director, Kelly Rule, told The Sacramento Bee that construction has begun to bring Bank of Montreal and Club Studio Fitness to the plaza, both expected to open in 2024.

Rule also said Filipino fast-food restaurant chain, Jollibee, is expected to come to The Ridge, but she doesn’t know when construction will begin because the restaurant is “still working on their plans with the city”.

“The Ridge shopping center’s success is due its location on the busy signalized intersection at Bruceville Road and Elk Grove Boulevard and its convenient access to both Interstate 5 and Highway 99,” Rule said.

In April, it was announced that construction began to bring a Nordstrom Rack to the growing shopping center. It’s expected to open next spring.

Just last week, seafood fusion chain Ahipoki Bowl opened its Elk Grove location.

The real estate development was named one of Sacramento’s best real estate projects by the Sacramento Business Journal in September.

In the last year, the center has opened Chipotle, In-N-Out, Nick the Greek and Nekter Juice Bar locations.

“Elk Grove is a high-growth area of Sacramento,” Rule said. “There is a large amount of residential growth planned to the immediate south of the center.”

Rule believes the remaining space at the shopping center will be filled soon, as The Ridge has two major box spaces available and is in negotiations to fill two other spaces: one next to SomiSomi and Mayweather Boxing, and another next to the future Bank of Montreal.

An Amazon Fresh store is scheduled to “open soon,” Rule said, but she could not provide any further information.
