Fastest growing retailer is coming to Shreveport. Here's what you need to know

One of the fastest-growing retailers is coming to Shreveport.

ALDI is a discount supermarket chain, that is headquartered in Essen, Germany. It was founded in 1946 and has since opened in 20 different countries. Aldi has nearly 2,000 stores across 36 states, with seven locations in Louisiana.

The 9500 block of Mansfield Road location will be the first Aldi location in North Louisiana.

In Oct. the City of Shreveport Metropolitan Planning Commission approved the site plans for the supermarket.

Mario Chavez, Caddo Parish Commissioner posted on Facebook, "Southern Hills just keeps growing!"
