Fatal crash: Cold Brook woman dies in car crash on Beacon Light Road

A Cold Brook woman has died following a one-car crash in Verona on Saturday.

New York State Police said Sabrina L. Stafford, 24, was heading north on Beacon Light Road just before 2 a.m. when she went off the road while traveling at a high rate of speed. Stafford hit a row of trees and her car came to a rest in the southbound lane.

Stafford was the sole occupant of the vehicle. She was partially ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

State police were assisted at the scene by members of the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office and Verona Fire Department.
