Fatal crash with dump truck in Dover Township claims the life of one, police say

A 33-year-old Mechanicsburg man died in a two-vehicle crash in Dover Township on Monday afternoon, according to Northern York County Regional Police.

Justin Turrentine, of the 400 block of West Main Street, Mechanicsburg, died of multiple blunt force injuries, according to the York County Coroner's Office.

Police say the man was driving a 2016 Ford F-450 southbound on Harmony Grove Road when it crossed over the double yellow lines into the northbound lane. It collided with a Freightliner dump truck that was heading north.

The driver of the pickup died at the scene in the 5700 block of Harmony Grove Road, police said. Officers investigated the crash at 12:21 p.m.

A 23-year-old Dover man who was driving the dump truck, and a 27-year-old passenger, who is from Biglerville and was riding in the pickup, were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The crash is under investigation.
