The father of former Pine Forest basketball player turned New York Knick, Mitchell Robinson III, has been found safely.

Robinson III took to his Instagram story last week to express concern regarding his father, Mitchell Robinson Jr., who had gone missing in Escambia County on Feb. 11.

He had been urging anyone with information to reach out to the Escambia County Sheriff's Office, and word quickly spread nationwide. TMZ picked up on the story, generating lots of buzz.

ECSO chief public information officer Amber Southard reported that Robinson Jr. has been located safely. He was found by the Clayton Police Department in Clayton, Missouri.

The Clayton Police Department says Robinson Jr. was found during a routine traffic stop. When they ran his name through the system, he was shown to be a missing person in Escambia County.

He was released with a verbal warning.

Fortunately for Robinson III, he can go back to enjoying the most successful season of his young NBA career. Through 53 games, he's averaging 8.4 points and 8.7 rebounds.
