Father Ryan Relay For Life raises over $175,000

Father Ryan High School raised more than $175,000 at its annual Relay For Life on Saturday, Oct. 30 at the school’s campus.

Over 1,000 students, parents, survivors, and others participated in Relay For Life Survivor's Walk around the track in Giacosa Stadium. Students, led by co-chairs seniors Clara Johnson and Catherine Scott, sold baked goods, drinks, and food to help raise money.

Father Ryan's Relay For Life is the largest student-led Relay in the country, and in 2020, it was recognized by the American Cancer Society with the Pat Flynn Spirit of Relay Award. Father Ryan's Relay For Life has raised over $1.3 million for cancer research.
