Father, son split prize after winning $50K at local drug mart

NORTH CANTON, Ohio (WJW) – A father and son are sharing a big prize after winning $50,000 from a scratch-off ticket in North Canton.

According to Ohio Lottery, they purchased the winning “$300,000,000 Extreme Cash” ticket from the Discount Drug Mart at 4925 Portage Street NW.

Local dog finds itself in unusual predicament

After federal and state taxes, the father and son will split $36,000, lottery officials say.

“$300,000,000 Extreme Cash,” which costs $30 per ticket, has a top prize of $200,000 a year for 25 years. Ohio Lottery says the game still has seven top prizes available.
