A favorite Coast seafood and Asian fusion restaurant closes. Here’s what we know
New restaurants keep opening across South Mississippi, yet others are closing as competition increases and budgets are strained by inflation.
The latest casualty on the Coast restaurant scene is Noah’s Seafood & Noodles at 6615 Washington Ave., Ocean Springs.
A post of Facebook notified customers before the restaurant closed at the end of September.
After three and a half years, the owner closed the door but said in his post, “Be on the lookout for something new.”
“Noooooo we love your food!” one customer posted in response to the closing.
Noah’s was included in the list of best Viet Cajun food on the Coast, although owner Richard Trieu told the Sun Herald he prefers to call his food “Casian.”
His father was a shrimper in Vietnam and moved to the United States after the war, eventually finding his way to Biloxi.
The cultural diversity of the menu was outstanding, the Sun Herald said in a review of Noah’s restaurant. The restaurant had a selection of po-boys and Asian dishes and seafood came fried, boiled or blackened
Pho was the favorite dish and boudin egg rolls were a best seller.
