Fayetteville police identify three victims in fatal Murchison Road crash

The Fayetteville Police Department has released the names of the three people who died in an accident on Murchison Road on Saturday afternoon.

The crash near the intersection of Murchison and Harbor roads involved a Nissan Frontier pickup truck and a Mercedes Benz, according to a Police Department press release. The accident happened around 5 p.m. on Saturday, according to police.

Stephen May, 38, the driver of the Nissan, died at the scene, the release states. Martell Jones, 52, and Timothy Bradshaw, 64, were passengers in the Mercedes and died at the scene, the release states. Family members of the victims have been notified, according to police.

The driver of the vehicle, who has not been identified, was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with serious injuries and is in critical condition, the release states.
