Fayetteville police investigating early Saturday morning death on Tryon Drive

Detectives are investigating the death of a man who was found unconscious at a residence early Saturday morning, the Fayetteville Police Department said in a news release.

Officers were dispatched to a residence on the 1900 block of Tryon Drive at 4:28 a.m. Saturday in response to an unconscious man, the release said. Emergency medical began life-saving measures and transported him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

He has been identified as Ethan P. Vezina, 25, of New Hampshire, the release said.

Vezina's death, which does not appear to be a random act, is under investigation by the Fayetteville Police Department's Homicide Unit, the release said.
