Fayetteville Police Officers Rescue Passenger From Fiery Crash

Dramatic video footage released by the Fayetteville, Georgia, Police Department shows officers running to the rescue of a passenger trapped in a vehicle engulfed in flames on Helen Sams Parkway.

Officers also rescued the driver of the vehicle, police said. The incident occurred in the early hours of February 21 and was reported by an off-duty law enforcement officer who said he saw the vehicle crash into a tree and catch fire.

“I am proud of our officers,” Police Chief Scott Gray said. “We train our officers to do this, but it takes courage to put yourself in danger like that in the line of duty.”
