Fayetteville woman shot to death in domestic disturbance, police say; man arrested

A woman was killed and a man arrested Monday in a domestic disturbance at a home off South Reilly Road, according to the Fayetteville Police Department.

The shooting was reported about 3:15 p.m. in the 7100 block of Ryan Street.

According to police, when officers entered the home they located an adult female with a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene. An adult male located at the scene was taken into custody, police said.

Children who were home at the time of the shooting were unharmed, police said.
