FDEP in-person office hours to end in Volusia

Florida Department of Environmental Protection representatives have been at 440 S. Beach St. in Daytona Beach answering people's questions about hurricane recovery in person. But that will end soon.

Dec. 16 will be the last day for people to talk with an FDEP representative at that location.

"The FDEP's presence in our community has been extremely beneficial in the coastal permitting process," Deputy County Manager Suzanne Konchan said in a county news release. "When people are going through a crisis, they often want the option to speak directly to a person, and the partnership provides this opportunity.”
