FDNY Fight Deadly Fire at Bronx Residence

New York City Fire Department firefighters battled a two-alarm fire at a residence in Bronx, New York, on Tuesday, January 18, following reports of an explosion at the location.

Firefighters said one person was killed and at least nine people were injured in the incident, according to local news reports.

New York City Council Member Rafael Salamanca, who was on the scene, said the fire was caused by a gas explosion.
