Fear the Walking Dead adds Flight Attendant star in key final season role

Fear the Walking Dead has added a rising star to its roster for its final season.
The Flight Attendant and A Madea Homecoming star Isha Blaaker has been announced to appear in the hit AMC show (via Deadline).
The 12-episode eighth season of the horror drama is split into two parts, with part one having premiered last month. The next part will air later this year.
When the series returns, Blaaker is set to appear in a prominent recurring role as Frank. AMC hasn't announced any additional details about the character at this time.

This isn't the only change to the series for its final season, as Fear the Walking Dead season eight, part one picked up seven years after season seven.
Showrunners Ian Goldberg and Andrew Chambliss previously explained the massive time jump for the show's final season.
"There were a few reasons why we started to gravitate in that direction," Goldberg said. "I think one of the biggest was we've been teasing this place, PADRE, since season 7, and really slowly unpacking what it is.
"But I think the big impetus for the time jump was just to show how much life at PADRE has impacted all of our characters and their way of existing in the world."

The time jump follows suit to the original zombie series The Walking Dead, which features a six-year time jump early on in season nine.
Fear the Walking Dead's final outing sees Lennie James' Morgan and Kim Dickens' Madison setting out to rescue an eight-year-old Mo from the tyrannical rule of PADRE. In the process, they'll try to reignite fellow survivors' belief in a better world.
Fear the Walking Dead airs on AMC in the US, and will air on AMC on BT TV in the UK.
