Feathers Ruffled as Baltimore Ravens Mascot Injured at Preseason Game

Most teams are keen to avoid injuries in the preseason, but they usually don’t figure on a mascot being among those ranks. But that was the case at the M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday, when Ravens mascot Poe had to be carted off the field.

Video by ABC7 reporter Olivia Garvey shows Poe being lifted onto the cart at the 30-yard line.

According to ESPN, Poe was injured during a halftime mascot v youth game.

“Poe took some damage to his drumstick and ruffled some feathers last night during his Mascot Classic,” the Ravens said on Facebook. “We’ll continue to share updates on Poe’s status, but he’s resting comfortably in his perch awaiting further test results.” Credit: Olivia Garvey via Storyful
