STORY: Roger Federer surprised two young girls in Italy, who had staged a remarkable rally from the rooftops of neighbouring buildings during lockdown, with a visit last month.
Vittoria Oliveri and Carola Pessina, self confessed Federer fans, went viral in April when they took their tennis game to a higher level, coolly managing a 12-shot rally between their family's rooftops in the Ligurian town of Finale Ligure.
Moved by the viral clip himself, Federer got in on the act on July 10 with the help of an Italian pasta making company and had a couple of rallies with the pair before treating them to lunch.
Federer also revealed another surprise, inviting the young girls to a summer camp at the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar.
