Feds: Officers bust drug supplier for Connecticut, New York

Authorities arrested an accused Connecticut fentanyl kingpin with more than 12,000 doses of the dangerous synthetic narcotics and two pounds of cocaine in his possession, some of it bound for the Big Apple, federal prosecutors said.

Christopher Alamo, 33, a felon barred from keeping guns, was arrested in front of relatives during a raid at his home in Hartford, federal prosecutors said Thursday.

The prosecutors said he was trafficking the drugs both in the Nutmeg State and to New York City, the Associated Press reported.

The raid on Alamo’s home also allegedly yielded a half-pound of marijuana, packaging materials, a gun, large-capacity clips, and a bulletproof vest, Drug Enforcement Administration officials said.

Alamo has prior convictions for drugs, weapons and theft.

He was ordered held pending a detention hearing.
