Feel a little shaking? Southeast Illinois hit by small earthquake
An earthquake hit southeast Illinois Monday night, according to information from the United States Geographical Survey.
Information provided by the National Weather Service in Lincoln, Ill. said a magnitude 2.5 earthquake shook the area about 4 miles southeast of Lawrenceville near the Indiana border. The USGS map states the earthquake hit around 8:11 p.m. Monday.
According to USGS, there had been at least 16 reports regarding the event by 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
