Feeling the pain at the New York City Marathon

More than 50,000 people participated in the New York City Marathon this year. The world-famous race, which took place on Nov. 4, 2018, drew entrants from across the country and around the world and took runners through all five boroughs of New York.

For many runners, by the time they crossed the Queensboro Bridge and entered Manhattan near mile 16, they were starting to feel the pain in their bodies and to show it on their faces too. Here’s a look at how stressful it can be competing in the New York City Marathon. Despite the pain, you may see some smiles. (Yahoo News)
