Feline frenzy coming to central Ohio with return of all-breed championship cat show
Cats are to rule at the Ohio Expo Center & State Fair on Dec. 10-11, when the Ohio State Persian Club, a Cat Fanciers’ Association-affiliated club, hosts an all-breed championship cat show.
The show is to be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 10 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 11 at the Ohio Building, 717 E. 17th Ave.
“This is the first time the Columbus cat show has allowed visitors since 2019,” said Lorna Dawn Friemoth-Gallion, a member of the Ohio State Persian Club.
The show is to feature 225 cats from around the world of 45 different breeds, as well as non-pedigreed cats, known as the Household Pet competition, according to Friemoth-Gallion.
Here’s what to know, if you go:
Tickets can be purchased at the door with cash or credit card. Adults cost $11; children 12 and under and students with a valid student ID cost $6; and two adults and two children cost $25.
Attendees can skip the line by purchasing tickets online.
