'I felt like a week ago it was my time to leave': Nyheim Hines talks trade from Colts

The Indianapolis Colts will receive a fifth-round pick in this spring's NFL Draft from the Buffalo Bills in exchange for trading them running back Nyheim Hines at midseason last year.

Nyheim Hines was introduced to Buffalo Bills fans Wednesday. He already felt comfortable with his new team.

"Sometimes you just know when it's time to go," he said to media. "I loved it in Indy. I thank them for the opportunity, but sometimes you just know."

Hines scored the Colts' only touchdown Sunday in their 17-16 loss to the Washington Commanders. The team traded him Tuesday to Buffalo for running back Zack Moss and a late-round draft pick.

Hines said he had a feeling something like this might happen.

"I felt like a week ago it was my time to leave," he said. "I even felt like Sunday was my last game in Indy."

He goes from a 3-4-1 team to a Super Bowl contender, and he now has Josh Allen at quarterback.

"I can go from hating him to loving him," Hines said. "It's amazing to see how much Buffalo has grown and the players they've brought in from 2018 to now."
