Female pedestrian struck, trapped under vehicle in Mattapan taken to hospital, fire officials say

A pedestrian was seriously injured after she was struck and temporarily trapped underneath a vehicle in Mattapan on Saturday afternoon, fire officials said.

Emergency crews responded 882 Cummins Highway in Mattapan after receiving multiple calls around 2:14 p.m. Saturday reporting a pedestrian had been struck at that location.

The female pedestrian, who was not identified, was taken by ambulance to an area hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, fire officials said.

Her condition was not immediately known.
