Italian fashion house Fendi has presented a capsule of bags and accessories for men and women on the occasion of the Chinese New Year, which according to the traditional calendar, will be a year of the rat (also sometimes known as year of the mouse). The creations will go on sale in Fendi stores worldwide and online on Fendi.com from January 9.
Like many luxury brands and high-end jewelers and watchmakers, Fendi is celebrating the start of the year of the rat, which is set to begin on January 25, with a capsule collection for men and women. The new offering, which mainly comprises leather goods, includes two of the luxury house's iconic bags: the Peekaboo and the Baguette.
The women's pieces in the collection are distinguished by a chic, romantic pink-gold color, symbolizing grace and good fortune, which is used for Peekaboo and Baguette bags in a range of formats. For the occasion, the two iconic bags are also made of exceptional materials, in Napa leather with the FF logo in relief or hand-decorated with sequins to create the famous Pequin motif. Along with the iconic bags, the collection also features jewelry boxes, wallets and credit card cases.
Symbols of joy and good luck, red and gold are the main colors for the men's pieces of the collection, which also features a mouse motif that adorns a mini-bag, a wallet and a credit card case.
Already available in China, the collection will go on sale in the rest of the world -- in Fendi stores and on the website -- from January 9.
