Fennville’s school board began discussing strategic planning about a year ago. The Michigan Leadership Institute was hired to lead the process in the fall, and an online survey was conducted in October.

The survey, along with the upcoming forums, are designed to garner community feedback to influence the direction of the district moving forward. Focus areas mentioned thus far have included academic instruction, communication and recruiting, and retaining and supporting staff.

Superintendent Jim Greydanus said he anticipates the school board will adopt a strategic plan toward the end of the current school year. The district will then work on goals over the summer to implement during the 2023-24 school year.
