Fennville girls soccer player has been a critical piece in the puzzle for the Blackhawks over the last few seasons.

She earned all-confernce, all-district and honorable mention all-state accolades a season ago and last week she showed exactly why. The senior helped propel her team to an 8-0 win over Watervliet last Wednesday. In the contest, she played a part in every goal, netting four herself and adding assists on the other four.

That performance helped her earn 6,535 votes, well over 40% of the total 15,619 cast, in the Sentinel's High School Athlete of the Week poll. Hamilton's Thano Klett, a pitcher on the Hawkeyes baseball team came in a close second with 5,825 votes after pitching a one-hit shutout while striking out 12 hitters against Spring Lake.

Be sure to vote for your favorite high school athlete in this week's poll. The ballot will go up Sunday afternoon and voting will be open until Wednesday at noon.
