Fenton River Grill has high quality beer and food

Aug. 1—MANSFIELD CENTER — Fenton River Grill offers high quality locally- sourced food and drinks.

" We buy local and we buy from a lot of different presenters," said Barry Jessurun, co- owner of the restaurant. "We buy all of our beers pretty much from southern New England."

Many of the beers currently on tap at the restaurant are from Connecticut breweries. This includes Sizzling Hippie India Pale Ale from Thomas Hooker Brewery in Bloomfield and phresh New England IPA from Alvarium Beer Company in New Britain.

The restaurant also offers a variety of cocktails, which includes a bloody Mary, chocolate raspberry martini and red sangria.

Fenton's lunch and dinner menu features a variety of shareable items.

This includes their fried calamari, Irish nachos and parmesan fries.

If you like flatbread pizza you are in luck. The restaurant boasts several tasty flatbreads with delicious toppings.

For those looking to eat healthy, Fenton River Grill offers a variety of salads. Their caesar salad has garlic parmesan croutons, romaine lettuce, caesar dressing and shredded parmesan cheese.

Their superfood salad is also inviting, as it features quinoa, shredded beets, brussels sprouts, kale, cranberries, feta cheese and walnuts.

Sandwich enthusiasts will be more than satisfied with the offerings on Fenton River Grill's menu.

They offer fish tacos, a short rib melt on sourdough bread as well as a fried chicken sandwich with all the fixings.

In addition to a salmon burger, Fenton's menu also features a steak burger.

The restaurant's signature burger, the Fenton burger is enough to make your mouth water. This sandwich includes a six ounce certified angus burger, smoked Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and bacon jam on a brioche bun.

All sandwiches are served with house- fried chips, French fries or coleslaw.

For an additional two dollars, diners can add bacon, parmesan fries or house-fried chips and dip to their sandwich order. The restaurant's main entr?e portion of the menu features diverse offerings.

Fans of seafood will enjoy the Faroe Island salmon, the beer- battered fish and chips and shrimp scampi ravioli.

Those who like chicken will be excited to order the Moroccan chicken, chicken parmigiana or the tuscan chicken.

One item that really stands out on the main entr?e portion of the menu is the Hosmer root beer braised short rib. Hosmer Mountain Soda is a local brand based in Manchester and Willimantic.

The restaurant's tasty soups make their menu even more deep. They offer New England Clam Chowder as well as French Onion Soup.

Conclude your meal with one of Fenton River Grill's delicious dessert options. Treat yourself to their carrot cake with whipped cream or their brownie sundae, which comes complete with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and whipped cream.

Fenton River Grill not only boasts a great menu, but it also has a fantastic atmosphere.

" It's warm and cozy inside," Jessurun said. "It has a great bar to hang out at."
