Late Red Sox Hall of Famer and broadcaster Jerry Remy honored at Fenway Park

Red Sox fans are being urged to arrive early for Wednesday night’s game at Fenway Park. The team will be celebrating the life of and career of Red Sox Hall of Famer and broadcaster Jerry Remy.

Remy died on October 30 after a lengthy fight against lung cancer. He was 68 years old.

The Sox have been paying tribute to Remy since the season began - wearing a patch with Remy’s name and his number 2. On Wednesday, that patch will be given to all fans.

Boston 25′s Butch Stearns was at Fenway Park for the celebration.

Fans were asked to be in their seats by 6:30 p.m. The game against the Toronto Blue Jays starts at 7:10 p.m.
