Will Ferrell attends Pacers game, shoots 3-pointers, doesn't wrestle bear

Actor Will Ferrell was spotted at the Walmart in Beech Grove on Sunday night then took in the Pacers game on Monday night.

Ferrell starred in the movie Semi-Pro, which was about a fictional ABA team. In the movie, Ferrell's character, Jackie Moon, wrestles a bear at halftime of a game ... which actually happened during an Indiana Pacers game.

According to a Deadspin article, WISH-TV sports director Chet Coppock wrestled Victor the Wrestling Bear at the halftime of a game on April 2, 1975.

"I mean, my God," Coppock said in the Deadspin story. "We're 35 years removed from this, and I still have people who when I go to Indianapolis will see me and go, 'You know, I still remember the night you wrestled Victor the Bear.'"

Victor, with a significant weight advantage in his matches, rarely lost despite being de-clawed, de-fanged, wearing a muzzle and heavily drugged, according to Deadspin.
