Festival of Colors in Dothan Returns

Dothan, AL (WDHN)– The Festival of Colors Event is returning to Dothan after a four-year pause.

The event was last held in 2019 and paused due to covid-19, now organizer say they would like for this to continue annually. The festival of Colors will be Saturday, March 23rd from 11am to 2:30pm at the Taj Restaurant off the Ross Clark Circle.

This is an ancient Hindu Religious festival that signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, and the end of winter according to the Hindu calendar. This will be a fun filled event with exuberant colors, complete with live music, dancing, and organic-colored powders. So be sure to wear a shirt that you don’t mind getting all colorful. A white shirt would probably be best for the colors to show.

Sponsors are needed to help cover the basic costs; you can reach out on Facebook by searching “Festival of Colors Dothan”. Any extra money from the sponsors will be going to the Wiregrass Boys and Girls Club.
